9-1-26    THOUGHTS

When we minister to the saints, we show love to the name of our God.  Prov 19:17  “One who is gracious to a poor man lends to the LORD, And He will repay him for his good deed.”  Diligence is connected to  “the full assurance of hope until the end.”  We are told to “not be sluggish.”  We are told to be “imitators of those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.”   These are words from God’s Spirit!

Heb 6:9-12    But, beloved, we are convinced of better things concerning you, and things that accompany salvation, though we are speaking in this way.  10  For God is not unjust so as to forget your work and the love which you have shown toward His name, in having ministered and in still ministering to the saints.  11  And we desire that each one of you show the same diligence so as to realize the full assurance of hope until the end,  12  so that you will
not be sluggish, but imitators of those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.

Our Prayer:

O God, each time we read Your  word, make it come alive in us. Give us Your Spirit to help us understand and apply the wisdom and power that comes from Your word. Give us diligence and remove all sluggishness.  Make us eager, excited and joyful in our pursuit of Your Way. In love and humility, help us to influence our world in Your direction.  We praise and love You in our Savior’s name,   Amen.
